A troubled foster kid uses his scathing word skills to become an unlikely rap battle champion. But when he gets caught up in his own hype, he must confront his past to accept who he really is. VS. is an urban rites of passage drama set in the hostile and exciting UK rap battle scene.

VS. is aspirational, inspirational and set in a world that reflects a modern UK. At the heart of the story is a rebellious 17-year-old foster kid teetering on the edge of self-destruction who, through rap-battling, finds his self-worth, his voice and family.

The rap battles serve as the set pieces; pulsating, palpable and funny experiences. The drama is tough, up-close but also tender in the right places and ultimately triumphant and uplifting.

The film looks to push the urban movie genre forward, showcasing the diverse and eclectic tastes of young people without focussing on gangs, criminality or drug abuse.
