Gerrard The Film

Steven Gerrard will go down as one of the greatest ever players to captain Liverpool Football Club.

A local lad who grew up minutes from the ground, for years Gerrard was the driving force behind a Liverpool team lacking the stars of its glittered past and often single-handedly lead them to victory against all the odds.

About the film

Never was this more true than on that fateful night in Istanbul where a lacklustre Liverpool, 3-0 down to AC Milan at half-time in the 2005 Champions League Final, turned to their midfield general and “Stevie G” did not disappoint. The subsequent Gerrard-inspired comeback has gone down as maybe the greatest Champions League Final of all time and will certainly be remembered as one of the greatest night in Liverpool’s history, at least in the modern era.

Liverpool fans owe so much to the man who turned down better offers, both in terms of money and opportunities for silverware, time and again throughout his career in order to stay with his beloved Reds.

The Premier League does not feel quite the same without him and it will never again see the familiar sight of a Gerrard screamer nestling in the top corner. But from dizzying highs to crushing lows, Steven Gerrard will be remembered by fans from all over the country as an all-time great.
